After acquiring a dream mountain property neighboring Golden Gate Canyon State Park near Golden, Colorado, the family began immediately conceptualizing their dream home to take full advantage of pristine views of Mount Evans, Mount Thorodin, and even the lights of the Denver Tech Center on a clear night. After contracting with King Engineering for full architectural and structural engineering services, a design took shape that included 2500 square feet of main floor living space, 25' high 10:12 pitched vaulted ceilings; a 400 square foot 2nd floor attic bedroom with it's own loft, walk-in-closet, and full bathroom; a fully finished 2500 square foot walk-out basement with 10' high ceilings, and a 3-car garage carriage house with a 780 square foot attic guest suite complete with it's own kitchenette.
