UW BERG Net-Zero Home

1660 square foot ranch style home on a full basement, designed in conjunction with the University of Wyoming Building Energy Research Group (UW BERG) to study the feasibility and marketability of net-zero custom and speculative homes in Wyoming. Slated for construction by AJ Bailey & Sons Construction in 2015 or 2016 as a speculation home, the home features orientation for southerly passive solar exposure, an electric air-to-air heat pump, heat recovery ventilator, polyiso spray foam wall insulation, air-tight wood construction, and solar panels designed not only to offset the energy usage of the home but to also integrate with the exterior architecture.
